Jensten Group has announced the appointment of Clive Buesnel as group chief executive officer, effective 2 November 2026, and subject to regulatory approval.
Buesnel will succeed Rob Organ, who has led Jensten since 2021, when he joined as chief executive officer from Tasker Insurance Group.
Buesnel joins from Advisory Partners, where he is managing partner, international, working closely with insurance chief executive officers, boards, and investors, while helping build the firm’s international franchise. He previously served as group chief executive officer of Tysers, leading its transformation by integrating three major businesses, updating operations and technology, and reinforcing the executive team.
Earlier in his career, Buesnel was one of the founders who built and scaled the Xchanging Insurance division to around £140m in revenue and £26m EBITDA, and served as chief executive officer of Lloyd’s carrier Jubilee. During his time at Deloitte, he developed the London Market practice, later becoming UK insurance leader and vice chairman.
David McMillan, chair of Jensten, welcomed the appointment.
“I am delighted to welcome Clive, one of the most respected and successful leaders in our market who brings a unique understanding of brokers, insurance carriers, M&A and technology from his time at IAP, Deloitte, Tysers and Xchanging,” said McMillan. “This combination of strategic perspective, operational expertise and proven ability to drive performance positions him strongly to lead the next chapter of growth for Jensten.”
Under Organ’s leadership, Jensten expanded its workforce from 200 team members in 2011 to more than 1,000. The business also tripled its controlled gross written premiums, completed a successful refinancing in late 2025, and more recently completed its transition to a divisional structure, with dedicated leadership of both Broking and Product & Distribution now in place.
“Rob has been critical in the building of this business, taking it on its initial growth journey to the strong position we find ourselves in today,” said McMillan. “Having built the divisional structure that will underpin the group’s next phase, Rob felt this was the right moment to hand over the reins.”
Organ said building the business had been among the proudest achievements of his career.
“Building Jensten to what it is today has been right up there amongst the proudest achievements of my career. Clive will bring a new perspective that will be welcomed across the group, and there is nobody better placed to take this forward,” said Organ.
Buesnel said it was an exciting time to lead the group.
“Jensten is a great business that has built national scale without taking trading decisions away from the people who know the client best. In our rapidly changing world, this is a very exciting time to be given the opportunity to lead the next chapter of development and growth – combining outstanding talent, innovative technology and AI with the backing of Bain Capital to create an exceptional business delivering market leading service and advice to our customers. I would like to thank Rob for his very significant contribution and leadership,” said Buesnel.
