NFP has acquired Moores Insurance Management, a multi-disciplinary risk management firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Mark Moores, the firm’s chief executive officer, joins NFP as senior vice president of commercial P&C, reporting to Amanda Ruback, managing director of P&C for NFP’s Central region. Jack Moores, the firm’s president, joins as senior vice president of personal lines, reporting to Mary Mullen, senior vice president of personal risk for the same region.
Founded in 1987, Moores serves high-net-worth individuals and businesses across 43 states.
Brett Woodward, president of personal risk at NFP, tied the deal to strengthening the firm’s Minnesota presence.
“Moores is a long-standing risk management firm and this addition further establishes our presence in the Minnesota market and positions us well to continue delivering P&C insurance solutions for high-net-worth and commercial clients,” said Woodward.
Mark and Jack Moores framed the deal around combining scale with existing relationships.
“The combination with NFP will create significant value for clients, pairing our deep local relationships with NFP’s broad resources and capabilities,” they said.
The acquisition reflects a broader industry shift beyond commoditised personal lines and toward more complex, higher-margin client relationships. It is a segment where specialist carriers including Chubb, AIG Private Client Group, and PURE Insurance have long competed, prompting brokers to build out dedicated private client practices of their own to match. For Moores’ existing clients, the deal gives them access to NFP’s broader commercial and personal risk capabilities, on top of the local relationships the firm built over nearly four decades.
