Lemonade has expanded the availability of its renters insurance products into Delaware and West Virginia, continuing the company’s broader rollout of digital personal lines coverage across the United States.
The insurtech said renters in both states can now obtain quotes, purchase policies, manage coverage, and submit claims entirely through Lemonade’s mobile app and digital platform.
The company’s renters policies feature customizable coverage limits and deductible options, while customers may also qualify for discounts through bundled policies, protective home devices, and annual payment plans.
Lemonade stated that renters insurance premiums start at approximately $5 per month, with roughly 40% to nearly half of claims handled instantly through its AI-powered digital claims platform.
“Renters deserve insurance that is not only fast and easy to understand but also tailored to their needs,” a Lemonade spokesperson said regarding the Delaware launch. “We are thrilled to introduce our digital-first experience to customers throughout the state.”
Addressing the West Virginia rollout, the company added that renters “deserve insurance that is fast, easy to understand, and designed around their needs.”
According to Lemonade, the latest expansion increases the reach of its renters insurance offerings across a majority of the U.S. population, as the company continues investing in digitally managed insurance products and automated claims experiences.
