MSIG USA has appointed Ron Morrison as Chief Claims Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the insurer continues to enhance claims capabilities and support long-term underwriting and client relationships. Morrison will report to Peter McKenna, Chief Executive Officer of MSIG USA.

In his new role, Morrison will lead MSIG USA’s enterprise-wide claims function, overseeing claims strategy, operations, technical quality, litigation management, and organizational development. A key priority will be advancing the use of data, analytics, and technology across the claims lifecycle, as MSIG USA seeks to deliver more consistent, transparent, and efficient outcomes in increasingly complex loss environments.
“Claims plays a defining role in how clients and brokers experience MSIG USA,” McKenna said. “Ron understands that effective claims management requires technical depth, consistency, and transparency, particularly in complex loss environments. His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our claims organization in support of underwriting excellence and long-term partnerships with our clients and brokers.”
Morrison brings decades of experience in commercial claims leadership to MSIG USA. Most recently, he served as Divisional Senior Vice President at Great American Insurance Group, where he oversaw property claims and large-loss operations. Earlier in his career, he held progressively senior roles at The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, managing high-exposure casualty and litigation claims, and worked as a complex claims specialist at Selective Insurance.
The appointment reflects MSIG USA’s broader focus on strengthening core technical functions amid rising claims complexity, evolving risk profiles, and increasing expectations from brokers and clients. By reinforcing leadership in claims, the insurer aims to align technical expertise with underwriting strategy and enhance its ability to manage large and complex losses while maintaining strong service standards.
