Allianz joins a consortium of leading global re/insurance organisations, including Aon, Generali, Travelers, and QBE Ventures, united in their mission to transform insurance from a reactive model into one centred on active prevention, risk reduction, and long-term profitable growth.
Sirma Boshnakova, Member of the Board of Management of Allianz SE, stated that The Spark launches at a pivotal time for the industry, when collaboration and innovation are most needed. She highlighted that bringing together global insurers, reinsurers, and technology partners around prevention will create a strong foundation for sustainable growth amid unprecedented challenges.
As a member of The Spark, Allianz will participate in collaborative research, proof-of-concept initiatives, and strategic programmes designed to use proven technologies to reduce losses, enhance resilience, and deliver new forms of customer value. The partnership will also grant Allianz direct access to The Spark’s global ecosystem, providing a practical framework for implementing prevention-driven solutions across multiple business lines.
Gil Arazi, Founder and Chairman of The Spark, welcomed Allianz and Ms Boshnakova, noting that Allianz’s leadership and focus on measurable outcomes align perfectly with The Spark’s mission of turning prevention into profitable growth for the insurance industry. Sherif Zakhary, Global Chief Executive Officer of Strategy and Technology Group & Inpoint at Aon, added that the addition of Allianz reinforces the growing industry collaboration committed to prevention-first innovation, with the shared goal of delivering measurable impacts for clients and communities around the world.
Through her role on The Spark’s Global Advisory Board, Ms Boshnakova will contribute to shaping the Lab’s strategic agenda and strengthening its global engagement with industry leaders. The partnership underscores Allianz’s continued commitment to leadership, resilience, and the advancement of prevention-based approaches that create value for both customers and society.
This announcement follows The Spark’s official launch at the Monte Carlo Rendez-Vous in September 2025, where the Lab, founded in collaboration with Aon, unveiled its multi-year roadmap aimed at transforming prevention into a measurable and profitable growth engine for insurers globally.
The Spark is the insurance industry’s first Global Prevention Lab, bringing together leading insurers, reinsurers, and technology partners within a collaborative ecosystem focused on transforming prevention into profitable growth. Through strategic research, projects, and venture-building programmes, The Spark enables its members to co-create prevention-driven products, services, and business models that deliver measurable impact for both businesses and society.
