HOOTL Secures $6.5 Million Series A Funding to Transform Healthcare Insurance Processing with AI
HOOTL, an AI-first company focused on revolutionizing healthcare insurance processing, has raised $6.5 million in Series A funding led by 5IR Funds. The investment will accelerate HOOTL’s mission to build secure, scalable automation systems that address one of healthcare’s most persistent challenges insurance processing inefficiencies.

At the intersection of healthcare, artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance, HOOTL is developing specialized workflows designed to reduce claim denials, track policy changes, and validate claims in real time. The platform directly targets the billions of dollars lost annually to administrative friction and processing errors, creating a new infrastructure layer for secure and compliant automation across the healthcare ecosystem.

What distinguishes HOOTL from other AI solutions is its integration of regulatory intelligence with advanced AI automation. The company’s access to policy makers and regulatory bodies allows it to anticipate policy shifts and embed compliance directly into its systems, ensuring providers remain aligned with the latest payer and regulatory requirements.

Rather than deploying generic AI models, HOOTL builds domain-specific AI agents that combine policy expertise with automation capabilities. This approach enables healthcare providers to engage insurers more effectively, minimize administrative burden, and protect revenue streams.

“HOOTL represents the next evolution of healthcare automation: domain-specific, compliance-aware, and trust-first by design,” said David Carstens, Founder and General Partner at 5IR Funds. “The combination of cutting-edge AI and regulatory intelligence makes HOOTL uniquely equipped to solve the insurance bottlenecks that have plagued providers for decades.”

HOOTL’s initial rollout began in dental practices, where the system has been successfully tested against existing and legacy platforms. A broader launch across partner networks is planned for Q4 2025.

“Our mission is simple but bold: stop the financial bleed in healthcare by applying AI where it truly matters, at the interface of providers, payers, and regulators,” said Denver Riggleman, CEO of HOOTL. “Because of our access to policy makers and regulatory bodies, we’re not just reacting to changes we’re building systems that anticipate them.”

The funding will support product development, regulatory readiness, and market expansion, ensuring healthcare providers gain real-time visibility into policy changes and better protect their revenue.

HOOTL, operating as RIIG Technology, Inc., is an AI-native platform built to transform healthcare insurance processing through secure and scalable automation. Developed in collaboration with healthcare and dental providers, HOOTL enables real-time claim validation, policy tracking, and denial reduction. The company’s privileged access to regulatory institutions and its AI-driven communication infrastructure position it as a leader in automation for regulated industries.
