Chubb Appoints Michael Babington as Head of Claims for EMEA
Chubb has announced the appointment of Michael Babington as Head of Claims for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), effective 1 November 2025.

In his new role, Babington will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of Chubb’s claims operations across the EMEA region. He will be based in London and report directly to Ana Robic, Regional President for EMEA. He succeeds Richard Shanks, who will remain in the position until November.

“I’m confident that Michael, with his extensive claims experience and deep knowledge of Chubb, will continue to drive delivery of our market-leading claims service,” said Robic.

Babington brings nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry. He most recently served as Head of Claims for Chubb in Australia and New Zealand. Since joining the company in 2012 as a claims specialist in Financial Lines, he has held a series of senior roles. Prior to his time at Chubb, Babington worked as a lawyer in London. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Dundee.
