The partnership addresses the growing demand for external data to enhance risk visibility across the insurance value chain. By combining Solomonic’s litigation data with Kennedys IQ’s proprietary event detection algorithms and policy wording analysis, the collaboration will offer insurers a transparent, explainable approach to understanding litigation-related risk throughout policy issuance, management, and renewal.
The initiative builds on research led by Kennedys IQ, including work previously part-funded by Innovate UK and conducted in collaboration with University College London, the University of Manchester, RiskCovered, and Havas. It also expands the capabilities of Kennedys IQ’s newly launched SmartRisk Machine Intelligence, which debuted in March 2025 as part of the company’s broader AI-powered platform.
“We are incredibly excited about the potential of bringing litigation data into the IQ Platform,” said Karim Derrick, Chief Product Officer at Kennedys IQ. “Litigation is the risk of risks—it will enable our clients to gain deeper insight into the world around them. When combined with SmartRisk Machine Intelligence, we avoid data overload and instead deliver contextual analysis.”
Solomonic’s Chief Revenue Officer, Peter Nussey, echoed the sentiment: “We’re thrilled to partner with Kennedys IQ and expand the use of our data into domains where its value can be harnessed. Collaboration and continued innovation will empower new clients to drive greater impact within their businesses.”
Solomonic is recognized for its analytical rigour and intuitive litigation analytics platform, providing actionable intelligence that transforms how litigation decisions are made.
