Head of North America, UnderwriteMe
Brett is a transplanted Canadian based in Boston and leads the North America team for UnderwriteMe. He joined in 2021 from Pacific Life Re where he was responsible for the management of client accounts, marketing and communications, underwriting and claims for the retrocession business.
Brett has over 25 years industry experience through roles at leading insurers and retrocessionaires in both the US and Canada.
Jonathan is co-founder of YuLife. Jonathan started his career as an entrepreneur and after many “almost successes” he decided that being an entrepreneur wasn’t exciting enough. So, he completed an MBA, became an Actuary and eventually decided to head back to the entrepreneurial world.
Prior to YuLife Jonathan led the early-stage segment of KPMG’s Tech Growth team. Jonathan is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and a guest lecturer at Imperial College Business School.
Justen is an actuarial and data science consultant who is passionate about transforming healthcare using AI. He currently serves as Director of Solutions Consulting at Verikai, where he helps carriers integrate alternative data sources and advanced machine learning techniques into their underwriting processes.
Justen has spent 15 years working in various parts of the healthcare industry, including 7 years at Willis Towers Watson as well as a PWC spin-out. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries with a BA in Mathematics from Binghamton University and an MBA from Dartmouth College (Tuck).
A specialist in dynamic, tech-driven sectors, Stephen excel in uncovering stories through a fusion of qualitative and quantitative research. A seasoned Research Director, he represents two leading organizations: the Call Centre Management Association (CCMA), dissecting customer behaviors and industry trends, and LegalTechTalk, guiding conversations on legal innovation. Stephen also tackles bespoke projects under his own brand, Jam!Research.
