W. R. Berkley Corporation Expands Adoption of Kalepa’s AI-Powered Underwriting Platform
Kalepa, a provider of AI-driven underwriting technology, has signed an agreement with an affiliate of W. R. Berkley Corporation to broaden the use of its platform across Berkley’s operating companies.

The move follows a successful initial deployment with Admiral Insurance Group, a Berkley company, which used the platform to enhance underwriting processes.

Kalepa’s technology is designed to improve underwriting efficiency and accuracy by leveraging advanced artificial intelligence to support complex decision-making. Admiral Insurance Group President Dan Smyrl said that “outstanding underwriting is the foundation of Berkley,” and that Kalepa’s platform “brings next-generation technology to drive lasting performance and value.”

Kalepa Co-Founder and CEO Paul Monasterio described Berkley as exemplifying “underwriting excellence and a winning culture,” adding that the company’s mission is “to radically transform underwriting by harnessing the power of cutting-edge AI.” He said the expanded partnership will help Berkley “confidently navigate their most complex underwriting challenges.”

W. R. Berkley Corporation is among the largest commercial lines writers in the United States and operates globally, with a strong focus on specialty insurance markets.
