USAA and NFL Extend Partnership, Expanding Salute to Service Initiatives
USAA and NFL Extend Partnership, Expanding Salute to Service Initiatives
USAA and the National Football League have announced a long-term extension of their 14-year partnership, reaffirming a shared commitment to honoring service members, veterans and their families through the league’s Salute to Service initiative.

The renewed agreement ensures USAA will continue to lead military appreciation efforts throughout the NFL season, including at major events such as the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl Games, NFL Draft and Kickoff. Several new elements will launch beginning in 2026.

Among them, USAA will remain the presenting sponsor of the Salute to Service Award, which recognizes individuals in the NFL community who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the military. In addition to contributing $25,000 in the name of each recipient to military aid societies, matched by the NFL Foundation, USAA will donate an extra $10,000 on behalf of each finalist starting in 2026.

The partnership will also expand its global reach. Building on past overseas activations at U.S. military bases in Germany and England, USAA and the NFL will introduce an annual overseas event during the NFL International Series.

Another new feature will see USAA sponsor a one-hour program debuting in 2026 dedicated to showcasing Salute to Service efforts by the league, its 32 clubs and USAA.

“USAA is proud to stand alongside the military community, and our Salute to Service partnership with the NFL is one way we honor those who serve,” said Juan C. Andrade, president and CEO of USAA. “These experiences go beyond recognition − they create moments of pride and connection for our nation’s service members.”

NFL executives praised the extension. Tracie Rodburg, Senior Vice President of Global Sponsorship, called USAA “the perfect partner to honor our military globally and to elevate our key cause initiatives season after season,” while Anna Isaacson, Senior Vice President of Social Responsibility, added: “We are deeply grateful for USAA’s commitment to recognizing the efforts made by members of the NFL family to honor the military community. It’s important our partners align with the values of the NFL.”
