Sompo International, a renowned player in the worldwide commercial and consumer property and casualty (re)insurance sector, has announced significant appointments within its North America Reinsurance leadership team.

Apundeep Lamba assumes the role of Head of Reinsurance, Canada, while Denise Sheehan joins the team as Senior Vice President, leading North America Accident & Health Reinsurance.

Apundeep Lamba brings a wealth of experience to his new position, with a background that includes serving at The Co-operators Group Limited, where he managed the company’s corporate actuarial and reinsurance services division.

His extensive expertise encompasses corporate actuarial, underwriting, reserving, and pricing, which he honed throughout his tenure at prominent (re)insurance companies catering to the Canadian market.

Denise Sheehan, now serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of North America Accident & Health Reinsurance, brings a wealth of expertise gained over her impressive 23-year career at QBE North America. During her tenure, she led numerous Accident & Health (A&H) (re)insurance teams and managed program portfolios. Her qualifications include notable designations such as CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty) and ARe (Associate in Reinsurance).
