Insurtech Sixfold announced the appointment of Tony Rosa as Chief Data & Analytics Officer, a move aimed at scaling the company’s AI underwriting capabilities from individual submission analysis to strategic portfolio-level decision-making.
Rosa, who previously adopted Sixfold’s platform as a customer, brings 15 years of experience in insurance data and underwriting strategy, including leadership roles at Ignyte Insurance and NSM Insurance Group. His expertise will help underwriters identify emerging risks, optimize portfolio composition, and proactively deploy capacity, rather than reacting to submissions one at a time.
“As one of Sixfold’s first customers, I saw how deeply the team embedded with our underwriters to understand what drives effective decision-making,” said Rosa. “Sixfold started by understanding underwriting, then built AI to support it. Now I’m here to help scale that, building a platform that doesn’t just process submissions faster, but helps carriers grow profitably.”

Rosa will also oversee Sixfold’s responsible AI governance, shaping best practices as insurers navigate emerging regulations such as the Colorado AI Act and the EU AI Act.
Brian Moseley, Co-founder and CTO of Sixfold, commented:
“Years of building AI that underwriters actually use at some of the world’s leading insurers have strengthened our vision for the future of underwriting. Tony will help us accelerate from submission-level insights to portfolio-level intelligence driving our industry-leading appetite awareness for individual risks to understanding how they fit into each insurer’s broader strategy and portfolio goals.”
This appointment follows Sixfold’s recent $30 million Series B funding round, led by Brewer Lane with participation from Guidewire, underscoring the company’s continued investment in AI-driven insurance solutions. The platform currently supports over 40 lines of business and is being scaled to deliver broader coverage across global markets.
