Ryan Gill Appointed CEO of Bspoke Group as Business Enters New Chapter
Bspoke Group has appointed Ryan Gill as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking the first major leadership change since the company was acquired by NFP, an Aon company. Gill, who previously served as Chief Commercial Officer, succeeds Tim Smyth. Smyth will take on the role of Deputy Chair, focusing on strategy and long-term opportunities under NFP ownership.

Alongside the appointment, Bspoke Group has created a new Retail Division that brings together Police Mutual, Forces Mutual, Bspoke Lifestyle, Bspoke Private Clients, and the insurtech brand Arma Karma. The division will be led by Kerry McMahon-White as Retail Managing Director, in addition to her role as Managing Director of Police Mutual.

Several further leadership appointments have been announced to strengthen the Retail Division. Andy Talbot, formerly of Gallagher, joins as Retail Operations Director. Adrian Ewington has been named Retail Underwriting Director, and Stuart Bromley takes on the position of Managing Director of Bspoke Private Clients. The restructured leadership team has been tasked with sharpening Bspoke’s focus and strengthening its position as a niche and specialist managing general agent in the UK market.

Tim Smyth said that the leadership change marks a natural progression for the business and an exciting step forward. He highlighted the company’s substantial growth in recent years and expressed confidence in Gill’s leadership. Smyth noted that his own focus will now shift toward maintaining clear direction, supporting leadership teams, and sustaining momentum during this important period of transition.

Ryan Gill expressed his enthusiasm for the role and praised the foundations laid by Smyth. He said the combination of strong leadership, the backing of new shareholders, and the quality of Bspoke’s people and strategic platform put the company in a strong position to achieve its ambition of becoming the leading niche and specialist MGA in the UK insurance market.

Kerry McMahon-White described the new structure as an exciting development for the entire organisation. She said the ambition is to build a business that is agile, expert, and aligned with the needs of both customers and employees. McMahon-White added that she is proud of the progress already made and confident the changes will accelerate the next stage of Bspoke’s journey.
