The round also drew participation from prominent backers including Nationwide Ventures, Western & Southern Financial Group, Clocktower Ventures, Primary Venture Partners, Portage Ventures, Vestigo Ventures, and SilverCircle.
In addition to the Series A, Retirable revealed a previously undisclosed $4.7 million Seed++ round led by Portage Ventures, bringing the company’s total funding to $25 million.
Founded in 2019, Retirable provides a full-spectrum retirement platform that includes planning, investing, and spending tools. The company has built thousands of retirement plans and now manages $175 million in assets under management (AUM) – doubling its AUM in the past six months. Notably, 70% of Retirable users had never previously worked with a retirement planner.
Retirable’s offering includes a newly launched debit card, custom investment portfolios, high-yield cash accounts, and a proprietary bond ladder strategy designed to deliver seven years of predictable income. The strategy works by staggering bond maturities to secure near-term spending needs while allowing the remainder of assets to be invested for long-term growth – aiming to reduce exposure to market volatility and prevent emotional financial decisions.
“We started Retirable because there’s an enormous gap in the market,” said Tyler End, co-founder and CEO of Retirable. “Most wealth management firms focus on the affluent, but the average near-retiree has far less saved and nowhere to turn. We’re here to serve the forgotten middle and give them confidence in their retirement.”
Matt Perlman, Partner at IA Capital Group, added: “Retirable’s comprehensive decumulation platform is the most promising solution we’ve seen for helping Americans manage their finances in retirement. It blends smart automation with a human touch, and we’re confident in Tyler and Ian’s ability to scale this to meet a critical need.”
Retirable plans to use the new funding to expand its product offerings, grow its advisor network, and continue scaling its mission to make professional retirement planning accessible to the millions of Americans overlooked by traditional wealth management firms.
