MNK Group has appointed Matthew De Jesus as Chief Strategy and Development Officer, a newly created role designed to lead group-level strategy and mergers and acquisitions as the business accelerates global growth.

De Jesus joins MNK Group, a fully independent worldwide group operating across the insurance value chain, as it builds on strong momentum from 2025 and expands into new markets and sectors. In his new position, he will be responsible for translating MNK Group’s growth ambitions into actionable strategic initiatives, partnerships, and acquisitions across all lines of service provision.
With more than a decade of experience in commercial strategy, investment, and operations, De Jesus brings a broad perspective to the role. His previous positions include Operating Partner at Talis Capital and Chief Commercial Officer at Voxelmaps, alongside advisory and investor roles that span high-growth businesses. At MNK Group, he will oversee the group’s global M&A agenda, identifying and executing acquisitions, partnerships, and new market entries.
In addition to leading inorganic growth initiatives, De Jesus will work closely with other group functions to support the integration of innovative technology into operations, strengthening MNK Group’s capabilities across broking, underwriting, reinsurance, and specialty services.
Manoj Kumar, Chairman of MNK Group, said the appointment strengthens the group’s strategic leadership at a pivotal stage of its development.
“Matthew brings a combination of investment insight, hands-on operating experience, and deep sector knowledge to the role. His track record of helping high-growth businesses scale and then expand aligns perfectly with MNK Group’s goals,” Kumar said.
“Matthew brings an investor’s eye and operator’s toolkit to MNK’s global strategy and M&A, which will be instrumental as we continue to grow our presence globally across the full insurance value chain.”
De Jesus described the role as a timely opportunity to help shape the group’s next phase of growth.
“I am delighted to have joined MNK Group at such an energetic and aspirational time for the business,” he said. “Its unique position in operating across the full insurance value chain presents a prime opportunity to build a fully integrated strategic platform that supports and elevates the group’s already premium service provision to clients across the globe. We are ready to expand further and I am excited to support this growth journey through our strategy, M&A, and investment agenda.”
The appointment underscores MNK Group’s focus on disciplined expansion, combining organic growth with targeted acquisitions to strengthen its global footprint and service offering.
