This move, supported by funding from the MassMutual Foundation, brings NeighborShare’s innovative platform to one of the region’s most dynamic communities.
The expansion involves partnerships with eight prominent local nonprofits: Women’s Money Matters, Bridges Homeward, HarborCOV, La Colaborativa, NOAH, Roca, Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center, and YouthBuild Boston. These collaborations aim to address urgent, unmet needs in the community by creating direct connections between donors and recipients.
“We’re thrilled to bring NeighborShare to Boston,” said Kelli Kreps, Executive Director of NeighborShare. “Our platform is already connecting neighbors in need with those who can help across 26 states, and we’re excited to work with our new partners to address critical unmet needs in the Boston community. The support from the MassMutual Foundation has been instrumental in seeding this expansion, and we will be seeking more Boston-based supporters to grow our nonprofit partnerships and serve even more neighbors.”
The MassMutual Foundation emphasized its commitment to fostering stronger communities through initiatives like NeighborShare.
“Building stronger communities is at the forefront of everything we do,” said Dennis Duquette, President & CEO of the MassMutual Foundation. “NeighborShare’s vision of creating more direct pathways to charitable giving contributes directly to community strength. Its expansion into Boston is a vital step in fostering financial security for those in need. We look forward to continuing this partnership and increasing financial resilience across Massachusetts.”
With its entry into Greater Boston, NeighborShare aims to scale its impact, leveraging the support of local nonprofits and community donors to meet the pressing needs of individuals and families.
