Hinshelwood brings extensive experience in financial services and insurance, having served in key non-executive leadership roles across the sector. His previous positions include non-executive director at Lloyd’s Franchise Board, Chair of AXA XL Underwriting Agencies Limited and AXA XL Insurance Company UK Limited, as well as a non-executive directorship at Nordea.
He currently holds senior advisory roles, including Senior Independent Director at Lloyds Bank, International Advisory Council Member at Adobe Systems Software, and Advisory Council Member at the International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers.
Before transitioning to non-executive positions, Hinshelwood held senior leadership roles at HSBC, including Head of HSBC UK, Deputy CEO of HSBC Bank plc, Global Head of Operations, and Head of HSBC Insurance Holdings. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Ernst & Young.
His appointment reinforces Marsh’s commitment to strong governance and leadership, as the firm continues to navigate a rapidly evolving insurance landscape.
