The move aims to provide long-term strategic cash management solutions, offering higher return opportunities while maintaining high liquidity and low Solvency II capital charges.
The newly introduced funds complement the existing USD Enhanced Yield Liquidity Fund, broadening the Lloyd’s Investment Platform to support treasury and investment teams within the managing agent community. The platform now provides access to a wider range of key market currencies, reinforcing Lloyd’s commitment to operational efficiency and investment growth.
Following an extensive due diligence and approval process, Lloyd’s has selected Insight Investment to manage the funds. The investment platform enables Lloyd’s market participants to collectively access bespoke investment solutions, fostering capital return potential through diversified opportunities.
Eleanor Bucks, Chief Investment Officer at Lloyd’s, highlighted the platform’s evolution over the past two years, stating “We have built a platform that provides market participants with access to a wide range of bespoke investment opportunities, including private assets. These two new funds underpin our commitment to enhancing capital return potential within the Lloyd’s market through innovative solutions.”
Adrian Grey, Global Chief Investment Officer at Insight Investment, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, saying “We are delighted to have been chosen by Lloyd’s to manage the two new funds. Our expertise in cash and short-dated structured credit strategies allows us to design bespoke investment solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.”
With the introduction of these new funds, Lloyd’s continues to enhance its investment offerings, providing market participants with greater flexibility and efficiency in managing strategic cash reserves.
