The Singapore-based insurtech bolt has forged a strategic partnered with Pathpoint, the digital wholesaler for small commercial excess & surplus (E&S).

bolttech has positioned itself as a world-leading embedded insurance provider. The bolttech family includes bolt in North America, the largest technology-enabled insurance exchange in the world, with its exchange proposition growing internationally alongside its award-winning digital insurance and protection capabilities in Asia and Europe.

The company is a global B2B2C InsurTech that leverages its insurance exchange to connect insurers with distributors and their customers.

With licenses to operate in more than 30 markets throughout Asia and Europe and all 50 US states, bolttech’s platform aims to provide businesses inside and outside the insurance industry everything they need to offer insurance products to meet their customers’ evolving insurance and protection needs in the digital age.

The partnership sees the launch of Pathpoint’s integration into bolt Access, bolt’s wholesale agency digital placement platform.

Insurance agents who use bolt Access to place small commercial insurance now have the ability to quickly and easily quote Pathpoint’s small commercial E&S in a true end-to-end digital experience.

Rather than separately seeking out wholesale brokers when admitted markets decline to cover a risk, bolt Access users can immediately get quotes for non-admitted markets within the platform, a unique advantage for insurance agents.

bolt Access agents can offer their clients non-admitted general liability, property, commercial package, and excess liability coverage across contractors, vacant buildings and land, lessor’s risk, and restaurants verticals fast with this direct integration.

Jim Dwane, CEO of bolt, said, “bolt’s partnership with Pathpoint expands the capabilities of our market-leading insurance exchange, and ensures we’re offering bolt access agents with the comprehensive choice they expect from us to deliver for their clients. We are excited to take our relationship with Pathpoint to the next level and enable bolt access agents to meet more of their clients needs, faster, and with less effort.”

Alex Bargmann, Pathpoint’s CEO, added, “We’re thrilled to launch this shared mission to provide a technology-first solution to thousands of insurance agents who are looking for optimal ways to get coverage for their clients. Delivering digital solutions that increase productivity for agents is what we do best.”

Last year, bolt selected Sapiens, a global provider of software solutions for the insurance industry, for its P&C core platform.
