Hub International announces acquisition

Hub International has announced its acquisition of the assets of Michigan-based Grace & Porta Benefits, Inc.

Grace & Porta Benefits in Brighton, MI is an independent agency that specializes in employee benefits consultation. As part of the transaction, president and CEO Jon Porta; vice president and CMO Travis Porta; treasurer and CFO Josh Porta; secretary and CIO Dave Porta; and the rest of the Grace & Porta team will join Hub Midwest East.

“We are looking forward to this talented team joining our Hub family,” said Hub Midwest East president Caroly Hofstee. “This dynamic team will further strengthen our already strong employee benefits practice in Michigan.”

Last December, Hub acquired Chatham Insurance Partners in Savannah, GA. Chatham Insurance Partners is an independent commercial and personal insurance agency focusing on healthcare, construction, high net worth, and hospitality.
