The insurtech officially launched in the UK back in February 2020 and it’s hoping to make app-based insurance more accessible to its UK customers.

As part of the new partnership, Getsafe’s insurance products will be listed as an option when customers make a comparison on GoCompare.

According to the fintech, one in three people in the UK want to take out insurance digitally as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, with the increased interest spanning all ages and genders. 

Christian Wiens, CEO and founder of Getsafe, said: “The UK is a very important, but also a very competitive market. Innovation is what will make us stand out, and that’s what we’re all about.”

“In the 20-35 age group, there is a huge demand for a digital experience for financial services. Despite this, there aren’t many providers that offer this. By working with GoCompare, we want to close this gap in the market.”

Getsafe is hoping that, with a greater level of exposure from its partnership with GoCompare, it will be able to accelerate the adoption of digital insurance across the UK.
