Purnama is a well-known figure in the Asia-Pacific region, brings to her new leadership role a wealth of experience spanning over two decades in the development and management of reinsurance ventures in the area.

Purnama’s professional journey led her to Gallagher Re from her previous position as Managing Director at Guy Carpenter, a role in which she held responsibility for both Vietnam and the Philippines, with her base in Singapore.

Before her tenure at Guy Carpenter, Purnama served as a Senior Client Manager at Munich Re. In this capacity, she played a pivotal role in enhancing Munich Re’s portfolio presence in Indonesia and the Philippines.

With this strategic appointment, Gallagher Re aims to further solidify its position in the Indonesian reinsurance market, leveraging Purnama’s extensive experience and industry insights to navigate the complexities of this dynamic sector. The move underlines Gallagher Re’s commitment to delivering exceptional value to its clients and stakeholders in the region.

Purnama will report to Mark O’Brien, Regional Director and Head of South East Asia, Korea & Taiwan, who commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Linda to Gallagher Re.
