Global Investment Lead, Digital Finance, Financial Institutions Group, IFC. Levan Shalamberidze is a senior investment professional at Financial Institutions Group (FIG) of IFC. He has over 15 years of investment experience in emerging markets globally including landmark equity, debt and structured finance transactions in banking, insurance, microfinance and fintech. 

Levan currently leads FIG’s investment activities in insurtech and digital banking.  In this capacity, Mr. Shalamberidze works with fintech startups looking to disrupt an existing market or create a new one, as well as established financial institutions seeking to deliver financial services with the use of new technologies. 

Levan is a Georgian national and has an MBA from London Business School, MS in information science from St. John’s University, NY and 5-year diploma in physics from Tbilisi State University, Georgia.
