UK insurtech Cuvva has partnered with Toyota Insurance Services Europe to launch Toyota Short-Term Insurance by Cuvva, bringing on-demand, fully comprehensive motor insurance to Toyota and Lexus drivers across Europe.

The product is available directly through Cuvva’s mobile app and is designed to cover immediate, short-term driving needs. Use cases include driving a new vehicle home from the dealership, taking a test drive, or providing temporary cover between annual policies.
Through the partnership, Toyota and Lexus drivers can activate insurance in minutes, extending Cuvva’s app-based, short-term insurance model into the OEM distribution channel. The collaboration reflects growing demand for flexible insurance solutions that align with how vehicles are bought, sold, and used today.
For Toyota Insurance Services Europe, the offering adds a digital, usage-based option that supports customers at critical moments in the vehicle ownership lifecycle. It also complements Toyota’s broader focus on convenience, mobility services, and trusted customer experiences, particularly as automotive distribution continues to shift toward digital-first engagement.
The partnership further strengthens Cuvva’s position in the short-term motor insurance market, demonstrating how embedded and on-demand insurance models are gaining traction with major vehicle manufacturers seeking to enhance customer journeys beyond traditional annual policies.
