Sompo International has announced a strategic addition to its leadership team with the appointment of former Chubb executive Jérôme Gossé as the Head of Cyber Insurance for Continental Europe.

In this pivotal role, Gossé will report directly to Mathieu Borneuf, Head of Professional Lines, Insurance, Continental Europe. His appointment underscores Sompo International’s commitment to strengthening its presence and expertise in the dynamic field of cyber insurance within the European market.

Jérôme Gossé brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served in a prominent capacity at Chubb European Group for nearly six years. At Chubb, he held the position of Head of Cyber for Continental Europe and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, showcasing his deep understanding of the intricacies of the cyber insurance landscape.

Before his tenure at Chubb, Gossé contributed his expertise to Zurich in Paris, where he assumed various critical roles. These roles included serving as the Head of Professional Indemnity & Management Liabilities for France and as the Head of Cyber Security & Privacy for the broader EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region.

Furthermore, Gossé’s career journey has seen him spend seven years at Marsh, where he played a pivotal role in both Toronto and Paris. He began his journey at Marsh in 2004 as a Claims Representative, demonstrating his foundational knowledge of insurance operations. In 2006, he transitioned into the role of an Insurance Broker and, later, assumed the role of Client Advisor and Communications, Media & Technology Practice Leader from late 2006 to 2011.
