Brightway Insurance Acquires GlobalGreen Insurance, Creating a Leading Distribution Platform with Over $1.7 Billion in Premium
Brightway Insurance, a technology-enabled insurance distribution platform, has announced the acquisition of GlobalGreen Insurance Agency, a multi-state franchise network with approximately $270 million in annual written premium. The combined business will control more than $1.7 billion in annual written premium and have a strong nationwide presence.

GlobalGreen, founded in 2007, was established on the principle that policyholders benefit from the expertise of trusted, local independent insurance agents, while those agents need the support of a larger network to maximise growth and success. Both Brightway and GlobalGreen emphasise empowering independent agency owners, who are embedded in their communities and provide customers with choice and personalised service. GlobalGreen brings to Brightway a network of experienced agents, strong regional presence and established client and carrier relationships.

Ray Spears, Chairman of GlobalGreen, added that Brightway’s advanced technology and extensive support infrastructure will help agency owners grow more quickly. “In addition to sophisticated technology to help franchise owners grow, Brightway offers unrivaled operational support including producer recruiting, marketing and sales coaching. This is a big win for our agents,” he said.

Advisers on the deal included Dowling Hales and UB Greensfelder LLP for GlobalGreen, while Brightway was advised by Piper Sandler and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Transaction terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2008, Brightway Insurance now operates franchise agencies in 45 states, with technology and operational resources designed to help independent agency owners expand their businesses. Its proprietary Fusion platform combines AI-enabled tools with client management and operational support, allowing agents to focus on growth while Brightway provides comprehensive back-office services.
