Launched initially in Australia and set to expand globally, Cyber Assist is part of World Travel Protection’s product suite for business travelers. The new service monitors digital risks in real time, providing travelers with alerts on potential cyber breaches and offering crucial identity monitoring and cyber safety advice while on the move.
“Cyber threats targeting travelers, especially those carrying sensitive data, are a growing and real danger,” said Adrian Leach, CEO of World Travel Protection. “Our partnership with BOXX enables us to offer a leading solution that not only guards against cyber risks but also provides crucial support if credentials are compromised.”
Cyber Assist is designed to help business travelers predict, prevent, and respond to potential cyber threats. The platform continuously monitors for data breaches and provides step-by-step guidance to users on how to re-secure compromised information. It also educates travelers on cyber safety, offering tips and training on staying protected while using mobile devices, accessing public Wi-Fi, and avoiding phishing scams.
Vishal Kundi, CEO of BOXX Insurance, highlighted the increasing risk for business travelers: “In today’s interconnected world, cyberattacks and data breaches are becoming alarmingly common, posing significant risks to companies’ operations and financial stability. Business travelers, in particular, are prime targets, often carrying sensitive data and relying on unsecured networks in airports and hotels.”
World Travel Protection’s research shows that despite the rising risks, many business travelers fail to take basic cyber safety precautions, increasing their vulnerability to cyber threats like data theft and phishing attacks.
According to Dominic Steptoe, Chief Product Officer at BOXX Insurance, Cyber Assist uses BOXX’s proprietary cyber-surveillance technology to deliver a powerful combination of threat prediction and prevention. The service aims to keep travelers connected securely while providing ongoing support to help them stay ahead of cyber risks.
As part of the launch, BOXX Insurance also announced a global agreement with the Cover-More Group to offer tailored cyber security and insurance products for both business and leisure travelers worldwide. With Cyber Assist, business travelers can now benefit from proactive identity monitoring, cyber threat alerts, and expert guidance to enhance their safety online.
