As of today, two fully comprehensive levels of car insurance are available to new Lloyds Bank customers, marking the first phase of a wider rollout that will eventually extend to other Lloyds Banking Group brands and insurance products. The new offering allows customers to manage their policy entirely online, including submitting claims and making changes without incurring admin fees.
The partnership, first announced in December 2024, gives Lloyds Banking Group’s 28 million customers access to AXA UK’s motor insurance solutions, which include optional extras such as breakdown assistance and legal cover. A 24-hour emergency claims line is also included in the service.
“Today is the start of an exciting journey with Lloyds Banking Group which will see us deliver innovative motor products and services to their customers,” said Alain Zweibrucker, CEO of AXA Retail. “This is just the beginning, and I look forward to exploring the opportunities this partnership will bring.”
Jeremy Ward, Managing Director of Insurance at Lloyds Banking Group, said the launch reflects customer demand for quality and flexibility: “Our customers are looking for peace of mind from a quality product under a strong brand. This enhanced new product, with two levels of cover to choose from, will offer a greater range of options to drivers looking for insurance that best suits their needs.”
The new policies are available online through Lloyds Bank channels, reinforcing both companies’ shared focus on digital-first, customer-centric insurance solutions.
