Insurers are under pressure to strengthen financial performance within their claims departments. Many face limited resources, difficulties integrating digital and artificial intelligence technologies and complex processing issues, all of which contribute to financial leakage across the claims cycle.
Leonora Siccardi, executive sponsor of the initiative and global head of Strategy and Execution for Reinsurance at Aon, explained that the new service aims to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, reduced loss ratios and enhanced customer experience through faster and smarter claims processes.
Specialist Claims Solutions provides an end-to-end approach to the claims process, offering leakage diagnostics, claims administration and run-off services, debt recovery, commutations and inwards claims handling support. To strengthen these capabilities, Aon has formed an exclusive collaboration with ARMStrong Insurance Services, a provider of advanced claims audit and recovery solutions for the property and casualty sector.
Through its operating companies SubroIQ and Paragon Deductibles, ARMStrong uses technology-driven services to identify and recover missed subrogation and deductible billing opportunities. This partnership allows Aon to enhance its specialised capabilities, reduce claims leakage and expand services to third-party administrators and managing general agents.
Sherif Zakhary, chief executive of Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group and Inpoint, emphasised that profitable growth requires a proactive strategy. By combining expertise, technology and capital insight, Aon aims to help clients anticipate risk, reduce leakage and unlock new value throughout the claims lifecycle.
Veronica Judice and David Griffiths have been appointed global co-heads of Specialist Claims Solutions and will report to Siccardi as they lead the newly formed team.
