This appointment, effective from October 30, 2023, positions Barnes to report to James Baum and Neil Harrison.
In her new capacity, Barnes will be responsible for supervising teams of claims professionals dedicated to both the London Market and UK Regional client segments. She will become an integral part of Aon’s London-based Wholesale & Specialty Broking (GBC) Executive Team and Global Claims Leadership Team.
Before joining Aon, Mona Barnes held the position of leader for Swiss Re Group’s Key Case & Large Loss Management team. Additionally, she has a notable tenure as the Vice President of Chubb Overseas Claims Management.
James Baum, Global Head of Wholesale & Specialty Broking, commented on the appointment: “Mona is an experienced, innovative leader and will bring to Aon significant experience across a broad array of risk classes and complex claims issues.”
