Biography
Jonathan Witte has had a long and distinguished career as a strategic leader in the Legal Department of Cigna, a Fortune 15 health services company. As a Senior Vice President and Chief Counsel, Jonathan led a team of 80, supporting Mergers and Acquisitions, Commercial Transactions, Antitrust, Investments, Technology and Legal Operations. Jonathan also led the legal work to launch a gene therapy solution for Cigna clients. In past roles, Jonathan led legal support for the US Commercial and Government Health Care businesses, Group Insurance, and the International Markets Expat Health Insurance business.
Jonathan also oversaw litigation at Cigna involving life insurance, investments, technology, transactions, and insurance. He served as the lead reinsurance attorney, managing reinsurance disputes domestically and internationally. Since leaving Cigna, Jonathan has been consulting with a health care technology start-up.
