Pivix, which was founded last month, offers property and casualty coverages, targeting sectors such as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The company was established by industry veterans Mike Miller, Ken Levine, Joe Griffith, and Sandy Vertuno, all of whom are alumni of Nationwide.
Ambac’s collaboration with Pivix aligns with its broader vision of building a premier insurance distribution platform. Through its distribution division, Cirrata, Ambac partners with top-tier underwriting talent and acquires successful MGAs to grow its insurance footprint. Cirrata includes several majority-owned MGAs and MGUs, further expanding Ambac’s presence in the market.
Claude LeBlanc, CEO of Ambac, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled that Mike Miller and his team have chosen to partner with Ambac. Our goal is to be the premier destination for MGAs and underwriting talent, and Mike is among the best in the industry. His pedigree and reputation in the E&S market are unparalleled. We are excited to support him and his team in scaling Pivix.”
Pivix CEO Mike Miller also shared his excitement, commenting, “We are pleased to reach this milestone in the development of Pivix. Having Ambac as a partner positions us well to grow and meet the needs of the wholesale distribution system. Additionally, this partnership enables us to collaborate with carriers and deliver tailored solutions for the E&S marketplace.”
The partnership marks a significant step for both Ambac and Pivix as they aim to expand their influence in the E&S insurance space.
Naveen Anand, President of Cirrata, added, “We look forward to growing our partnership with Mike and the Pivix team. They have the underwriting expertise, broker relationships, and technology to make Pivix a formidable player in the E&S market.”
