AIG Names Scott Hallworth as Chief Digital Officer
AIG has appointed Scott Hallworth as Chief Digital Officer, effective September 1, 2025. In the role, Hallworth will lead the insurer’s digital, data, and generative AI strategy, with a focus on scaling enterprise-wide innovation.

Hallworth will join AIG’s Executive Leadership Team and be based in New York. Initially, he will report to Claude Wade, Executive Vice President, Chief Digital Officer and Global Head of Business Operations & Claims. Wade, who is stepping down at year-end due to health issues, will transition into an advisory position. Beginning January 1, 2026, Hallworth will report directly to Peter Zaffino, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AIG.

Hallworth brings more than three decades of experience across technology, financial services, and insurance. Most recently, he served as Chief Data Officer at HP Inc. He has also held senior roles at Capital One and Travelers, where he was Senior Vice President & Chief Actuary.

“Scott Hallworth brings a deep technical background in digital, GenAI and actuarial capabilities to AIG,” said Zaffino. “His track record of scaling GenAI and leading enterprise-wide data strategies across complex organizations makes him exceptionally well-qualified to join AIG at this exciting time.”

Hallworth expressed enthusiasm about his new role, noting: “AIG has a strong foundation in data and digital innovation, and I am excited to collaborate with the team to leverage advancements in GenAI to drive innovation and impact at scale.”

Zaffino also paid tribute to Wade’s contributions, crediting him with building AIG’s global data, digital, and AI foundations. “His leadership in driving enterprise standards and operations has been profound, and we will benefit from Claude’s work for years to come,” he said.

Reflecting on his tenure, Wade added: “It has been a privilege to be a part of AIG’s extraordinary journey and return to industry leadership. I look forward to welcoming Scott to AIG as we accelerate our global deployment of AI and other technologies.”
