AIG Appoints New Chief Risk Officer
Insurance conglomerate American International Group Inc. has named Tom Bolt its chief risk officer.

Mr. Bolt, who previously served as chief underwriting officer for general insurance at AIG, succeeds Sabra Purtill, who was recently named chief investment officer for the insurer’s life and retirement business. Mr. Bolt will report to AIG Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Peter Zaffino.

Mr. Bolt joined AIG in 2018 from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he served as its president and CEO for the U.K. and Southern Europe. Before that, he worked at Lloyd’s of London as director of performance management and as managing director of Lloyd’s Marlborough Managing Agency.
