Insurance AI company FurtherAI has appointed Zachary “Zac” Hirsch as senior vice president of sales as it looks to expand its commercial operations and customer base across the insurance industry.
Hirsch will lead FurtherAI’s sales organisation and go-to-market strategy, with a focus on carriers, managing general agents, brokers and wholesalers.
He joins from enterprise software company Verkada, where he helped scale the commercial organisation as the business grew to more than $1 billion. Hirsch brings more than 18 years of experience in enterprise software and commercial leadership, including roles at Dynamic Signal, Pixlee and FactSet.
His experience also includes relationships with major insurance organisations including Allstate and Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
The appointment comes as FurtherAI expands its use of AI agents across insurance workflows. The company said its technology is now deployed at five of the top 10 US insurance carriers and five of the top 15 insurance brokers and wholesalers.
FurtherAI’s AI agents automate workflows including submission intake, underwriting, policy administration, audits and claims processing. The company said it now processes billions of dollars in premiums annually.
“Zac is a highly respected commercial leader with a remarkable record of building teams that scale,” said Aman Gour, co-founder and CEO of FurtherAI. “AI can create enormous value for insurance, but only when it is deployed thoughtfully, responsibly, and with a deep understanding of the industry.”
Hirsch said the insurance industry has significant expertise but that much of it remains constrained by manual processes and disconnected systems.
“FurtherAI has proven that insurance-native AI can deliver meaningful results in complex enterprise environments,” he said.
FurtherAI raised a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz and was named to the 2026 CB Insights AI 100, where the company said it was the only business focused specifically on insurance.
