Ageas UK has secured a new embedded insurance partnership with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) insurtech Wrisk, as the insurer expands its presence in digitally embedded motor distribution.
The partnership will see Ageas UK join Wrisk’s motor insurance panel, with the two companies collaborating to build a scalable B2B2C distribution model focused on vehicle manufacturers and their customers.
The move strengthens Wrisk’s OEM-driven insurance proposition, which enables motor insurers to integrate insurance directly into the vehicle purchasing and ownership journey. Through the partnership, Ageas will leverage Wrisk’s technology platform and access vehicle-specific data to support more personalised insurance experiences and improved underwriting precision.
Wrisk’s platform uses real-time data ingestion from OEM sources, allowing insurers to utilise vehicle-specific data points to improve pricing accuracy, streamline risk selection, and deliver more tailored products.
Nimesh Patel, Chief Executive Officer of Wrisk, said the partnership aligns closely with the insurtech’s vision for embedded insurance distribution.
“Ageas’s appetite for innovation and its strong partnerships heritage make it an ideal partner for our OEM-driven distribution model,” Patel said.
“By combining our flexible tech platform with Ageas’s underwriting expertise, we can offer vehicle manufacturers and their customers insurance products that are seamless, data-driven and truly customer-centric.”
The agreement reflects growing momentum in embedded insurance, where insurers increasingly partner with automotive manufacturers and technology providers to offer cover directly at the point of sale or through connected digital ecosystems.
For Ageas UK, the partnership represents an opportunity to expand its broker and partnerships strategy while enhancing its use of data-driven underwriting capabilities.
Adam Beckett, Managing Director of Broker and Partnerships at Ageas UK, said Wrisk’s technology aligns with the insurer’s ambition to offer smarter and more personalised insurance products.
“Wrisk’s technology and use of OEM data align with our ambition to deliver smarter, more personalised insurance solutions, while maintaining the underwriting quality and service standards partners and customers expect,” Beckett said.
“We’re excited for the growth opportunities this presents for both of our businesses and ultimately for the services tailored to our customers.”
The partnership comes as insurers increasingly explore embedded distribution models to meet changing consumer expectations for seamless, digital-first experiences, particularly in motor insurance where connected vehicle data and manufacturer ecosystems are becoming increasingly important to underwriting and customer engagement.
