Atrium and Sofix have deployed an AI-powered claims tool, BrokerBrief, aimed at accelerating claims handling and improving decision-making across all classes of business.
Fully integrated into Atrium’s claims management system, BrokerBrief converts early-stage claim information and supporting documentation into structured, concise summaries that are automatically appended to each claim record. This enables claims handlers and adjusters to quickly assess cases without navigating fragmented emails, attachments, and notes.
Developed by Sofix, the solution modernises the traditional broker submission by combining key claim details, validation checks, and coverage parameters into a single, continuously updated output. As new documents are added, the summary is refreshed in real time, ensuring that the claim file reflects the most current information.
Beyond improving workflow efficiency, the structured data generated by BrokerBrief lays the groundwork for predictive analytics and enhanced decision-support capabilities. This is expected to support faster triage and more consistent, data-driven claims outcomes.
Carla Viana said: “BrokerBrief turns unstructured claims information into a structured, continuously refreshed view of the claim, helping handlers and adjusters act faster and make better-informed decisions. Instead of piecing together the position from multiple sources, teams get a clearer starting point straight from the file.”
Andrew Johnson added: “Claims are the moment of truth; they’re the reason our clients buy insurance. Our focus has always been on delivering a fast, seamless claims experience, and this new tool elevates that even further. By driving real efficiencies for our brokers and clients, we’re helping them get back on their feet faster and move forward with confidence.”
The deployment builds on Sofix’s integration with the Insurers’ Market Repository (IMR), enabling insurers and managing agents to extract and analyse large claims files. The platform converts unstructured materials—including adjuster reports, broker correspondence, and expert documentation—into actionable insights, supporting more efficient reviews and alignment with Lloyd’s market processes.
The rollout marks a further step in Atrium’s technology strategy to enhance claims handling, while reinforcing Sofix’s focus on bringing AI-driven automation to complex claims workflows across the London market.
