The move builds on a 2024 rollout of ZestyAI’s Z-HAIL™ and Z-WIND™ models in four states prone to severe convective storms. Following a successful proof of concept, Steadily will now extend use of the parcel-level risk insights to additional states.
Operating nationwide with $300 million in annualized gross written premium, Steadily is among the fastest-growing insurers in the U.S. The company says the expanded adoption of ZestyAI technology will help it better manage storm exposure and refine pricing for its landlord insurance business.
“Expanding our use of ZestyAI’s hail and wind models reaffirms our commitment to precision and efficiency in landlord underwriting,” said Datha Santomieri, Co-Founder and COO of Steadily. “These insights help us make informed decisions quickly and manage exposure with greater confidence.”
ZestyAI’s models analyse property-level characteristics such as roof condition, building complexity, and historical losses, alongside local climatology, to forecast the likelihood and severity of storm damage. Unlike traditional territory-based models, the approach delivers risk scores tied to individual parcels and provides transparent explanations of the key drivers behind each result.
Attila Toth, Founder and CEO of ZestyAI, said: “Steadily is modernizing a critical segment of the market with their customer-centric, tech-forward approach. We’re proud to support their growth with AI-driven insights that enable better pricing, smarter underwriting, and more resilient portfolios.”
ZestyAI’s severe convective storm models have regulatory approval in 19 states and are currently used by multiple insurers across the country.
