The new product offering includes real-time travel assistance solutions for Flight Disruption and Lost Luggage, designed to provide immediate support to travelers.
This direct-to-consumer (D2C) bundle offers Berlin Direkt Versicherung customers real-time assistance when their flights are delayed or luggage is lost. If a registered flight is delayed by two hours or more, travelers are notified by Blink Parametric and given a choice of free VIP lounge access at one of over 1,300 airport lounges worldwide, or a cash payout of €25 per person for up to two delayed flights.
For luggage delays, travelers can report the issue at the destination airport and enter their Property Irregularity Report (PIR) number into the Berlin Direkt online benefits portal to receive an instant payment of €50. Compensation is processed in real-time through bank transfer or PayPal to help alleviate the inconvenience.
