Rokstone’s U.S. Excess Casualty Practice will cover a variety of sectors, including Construction, Transportation, Energy, and U.S. & Global Fortune 1,000 risk-managed accounts. The division will focus on B2B commercial entities, emerging sectors like renewable energy and the AV/EV industry, as well as other specialty areas where customised, individual risk solutions are needed.

We have previously been focused on short-tail lines, so this is sound diversification. With the developing back-year reserves and new reserving rules impacting the market, we believe the timing is perfect to further expand our Casualty offering,” he added.

Laurence Burrows brings over fifteen years of industry experience to his new role. He comes to Rokstone from Convex Insurance, where he was the Liability Underwriter for four years.

Prior to that, he worked as a Liability Underwriter at Apollo Syndicate 1969, a Senior Underwriter at Novae, a U.S. Business Development Manager at Starr Insurance, and a Casualty Underwriter at Aspen Insurance Group.
