Gallagher expands UK footprint with Bridge Insurance Brokers acquisition

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has expanded its UK presence with the acquisition of Bridge Insurance Brokers Limited, reinforcing its position in key specialty sectors including real estate and construction.

The move reflects Gallagher’s continued investment in the UK market and its strategy of combining local expertise with global capabilities. By integrating Bridge into its UK & Ireland Retail division, the broker is enhancing its ability to serve mid-market organisations with tailored risk and insurance solutions.

Bridge brings more than five decades of experience and a strong regional footprint, along with established expertise in complex commercial lines. Its integration is expected to deepen Gallagher’s sector knowledge while broadening client reach across the UK.

Importantly, the transaction maintains leadership continuity, with Bridge’s senior team remaining in place. This ensures that clients will continue to benefit from trusted relationships while gaining access to Gallagher’s wider resources, network, and specialist capabilities.

The acquisition highlights ongoing consolidation trends within the insurance broking sector, as firms look to scale expertise, strengthen distribution, and respond to evolving client needs. For Gallagher, the addition of Bridge represents a complementary and strategically aligned step in building a more integrated and capable UK platform.
