Joel Farvault leads the Augmented Claims department within Group Emerging Tech & Data. The aim of Augmented Claims is to leverage AI and ML for transforming the Claims experience, particularly on Fraud Analytics and Claims Automation. In 2018, Joel was Chief Data Officer for AXA International & New Markets, in charge of leading and supervising the implementation of the Data Strategy for the AXA emerging entities.<\/p>

Joel was appointed as Head of Regional Architecture, Data and Innovation in August 2015. In his role, he is responsible for leading the data team, which includes data engineers, data scientists and BI experts, in addition to defining and implementing data and IT strategies.<\/p>

With nearly a decade of experience in the insurance industry, Joel joined AXA in 2012 as the Head of Architecture, IT Strategy and Innovation for the Life & Savings business line, where he was responsible for defining and implementing AXA\u2019s IT strategy, in addition to defining Data Strategy and Smart Data solutions.<\/p>

Prior to this, he worked at Cr\u00e9dit Agricole Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB CA), BNP Paribas and Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB). Joel also worked with National Center for Scientific Research as a software engineer, Mega International as a consultant, and at SFR as an application developer, making him an expert in the IT field.<\/p>

Joel holds a Master\u2019s degree in Computer Science from the Conservatoire National des Arts et M\u00e9tiers (French University) in Paris, France. As a native of France, Joel\u2019s first language is French, in addition to being a fluent English and Italian speaker.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
