A graduated engineer in France and the United States, Renaud AMBITE started his career in 1992 at Ansaldo Group in charge of the safety of train control systems. 

He joined SCOR in 2000 as a Property underwriter for large corporate accounts, then (apart from three years with AXA) spent his whole career at SCOR. 

He held various positions including manager of underwriting teams and manager of large tools development projects, and is now Chief Technical and Distribution Officer for SCOR Specialty Insurance – Single Risks. His remit touches on all aspects of Data, Tools and Processes. 

His areas of interest include how to take meaningful underwriting decisions in an increasingly complex world, making a sound use of ever-increasing amounts of data without being overwhelmed and loosing common sense.
