for commercial insurance, in 2016 and became CEO in 2018.<\/span><\/p><p>Prior to Briza, Ben led the D&amp;O, Financial Institutions and Cyber businesses for Markel Bermuda, becoming the market leader in all targeted lines.<\/p><p>Earlier in his career, Ben was the Global Head of Financial Institutions for AIG Cat Excess, based in Bermuda with teams in New York, London, San Francisco and Chicago.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Ben started his career at Chubb Canada in 1999 where he eventually led the Toronto Department of Financial Institutions.<\/p><p>He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen\u2019s University in Kingston,
